This is where I put all my Game Consoles restorations
I never really got into the games consoles - all the games I was hooked on - particularly Elite :) - I played on computers - mainly the AMIGA 500.
But my recent interest in electronic restorations has included restoring old Game Consoles and playing a few games on them - testing you understand.
Although there were the First Generation of home Game Consoles as early as 1972 and up until 1976 when the Second Generation of Consoles hit the market.
The third generation made big leaps forward with their 16 bit processors and this is where they really started to be accepted by the public - not universal acceptance just yet - but significantly greater than earlier generation. Consoles released by SEGA and Nintendo really lifted the markets expectations.
But as good as they were nothing compared to the 1993 - fifth generation, 32 bit consoles, released by companies such as Sony (PlayStation) Nintendo (Nintendo 64) and Sega (SATURN) which really set the world on fire.
These things can be picked up for a couple of dollars these days, and are often easy to fix - so if you've got even a mild interest in these things - grab yourself a PlayStation 1 and get restoring.
