VIC 20

My next VIC-20 is an English one, as evidenced by the Serial No UK B 303272 - and the fact that it has Made in England written on the sticker was a bit of a give away, so no prizes for my research skills there.

This is a tad confusing to me, because although this VIC-20 has a higher Serial No than the last one, it goes back to the older style 2 pin power plug and only has a 9VDC power requirement. Perhaps because this one was made in Japan, the Japanese factory was still building them with the older style power requirements to get rid of any remaining old stock - but that is just speculation. Its also possible that the Serial Numbers from different factories don necessarily go in chronological order - so that say Serial No 567567 from Japan was manufactured prior to Serial No 345345 from England - but again - that's just speculation. It kind of makes sense though because a number of the factories appened their initials (WG = West Germany - UK = England) to the front of their Serial Nos. Although I note that Japan did not append a J to theirs - who knows......
