British Seagull

This is where I put all my British Seagull restorations

The British Seagull is an institution in boating the boating world.

It first came out in 1931 when the very first Seagull was produced under the Marston name. They were produced by the 'Sunbeam Motorcycle Company' Sunbeamland, Wolverhampton.

After a short time, a chap named John Way-Hope (a former Evinrude employee) teamed up with a disgn engineer named Bill Pinniget and took over the Seagull manufacturing rights and patents. A short time later, they enlisted the help of Robert Harper, who made design mods to the gearbox, and the mighty British Seagull was born.

If you've got a Seagull and want to find out more about it - go here - the fantastic Saving Old Seagulls Website - it has a great engine identifier system (and a whole shed load other other great stuff including Spare Parts) where you simply plug in the Engine No and it will tell you everything there is to know about your Seagull.
