Restoration
This is the first lantern I am going to have a go at restoring - its one of the hoard of 10 I bought, and it is probably the best condition of any of them. It is also probably the most modern and least historically "interesting". In other words, if I destroy it, it is not that big of a deal - but of course all care will still be taken. It's just that I would rather learn with this lamp than any of the others.
So about this particular lamp.....
This is a Coleman Model 201 Lamp, manuafactured in December 1981 - the month and year of manufacture are stamped on the bottom of the tank.
From all reports, thesearea pretty decentlamp (as are pretty much all the vintage Coleman lamps), so I'm quite keen to get this little fella going.
